Letting Agents
If you don’t have the time to self manage you may wish to appoint a letting agent/property manager. It is hard to know which one to choose so the best way is to go to at least one of your local landlord association meetings and ask other landlords. If you choose to appoint a letting agent they will offer a variety of services for you.
Some may offer services starting from just a tenant find service to a full management service. Fees can vary between generally between 8-15% subject to property and location. They will often be responsible credit checking the tenants, issuing the tenancy agreements and preparing full landlord property inventories.
